ABUBAKAR TAFAWA BALEWA UNIVERSITY (ATBU) ANNOUNCES 2024 END OF YEAR BREAK
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi has announced the closure of the university for Christmas and New Year break. The break will commence on Monday, December 23, 2024, and end on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
According to a memo signed by the Registrar, Alh. Kabiru Garba Aminu, normal activities will resume on Monday, January 6, 2025. However, staff on essential services are exempted from the break and are expected to report for duty as usual.
The Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the university management, wishes the university community peaceful celebrations. The break is expected to provide staff and students with a well-deserved rest and an opportunity to spend time with their loved ones during the holiday season.
The memo has been distributed to all relevant authorities and units within the university, including the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors, University Librarian, Bursar, Directors, Provost, Deans, and Heads of Departments. Notice boards have also been updated to inform the university community about the break.
