AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY (ABU) STUDENTS UNION HOSTS 2025 GRAND CULTURAL CARNIVAL
The Ahmadu Bello University Students’ Representative Council (ABUSRC) over the weekend held the Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Renaissance Festival 2025, themed “Honoring the Past and Uniting the Future.”

AKA “AURA MADAM”
The campus was filled with color and excitement as students turned out in large numbers to proudly showcase their diverse traditions. From cultural dances to traditional attire and symbolic displays, each association and faculty represented their heritage with pride, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity in diversity.
The parade, which began and ended at the SRC Secretariat, passed through major landmarks on campus including Pharmacy Roundabout, Faculty of Medicine Roundabout, Faculty of Education Road, the Main Gate Roundabout, Amina Hostel, and Sulaiman Hostel before returning to the Secretariat

Participants included state associations, ethnic groups, faculties, and traditional title holders — all appearing in alphabetical order. The procession attracted not only students but also staff and invited dignitaries, who joined in celebrating the rich cultural identity of the ABU community.
The carnival, endorsed by the ABUSRC President, Comr. Nazeer Ibrahim Kallah, has been described as one of the most memorable cultural events of the year, reinforcing the role of culture in fostering unity, pride, and belonging among students.
