This is to inform new and returning students of FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY MINNA (FUTMINNA) that the management has released the approved academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic session.

FIRST SEMESTER:  MONDAY 18TH NOV., 2024 TO SATURDAY 29 MAR. 2025 (16 WEEKS)

Monday 28th October 2024- Sunday 17th November 2024-Payment of School Fees for New Students

Monday 28th Oct., 2024-Sun. 17th Nov., 2024 – Online Registration for New&Returning Students (3 weeks)

Monday 18th November, 2024 – Saturday 25th January 2025 – Lectures for 100L-500L Students (8 weeks)

Thursday 19th December 2024 – Friday 20th December 2024 – Orientation for New Students

Saturday, 21 December 2024 – Sunday, 4th January 2025 – Annual Recess

Thursday 23rd January 2025 – Matriculation for New Students

Saturday 1 February 2025  – Founder’s Day

Monday 27th January 2025 – Saturday 15th February 2025- e-Test for 100 Level and large classes (3 weeks)

Monday 27th January 2025 – Saturday 1 March 2025 – Lectures Continue (5 weeks)

Monday 3rd March 2025 -Saturday 22nd March 2025 -e-Exams for 100 Level and Large Classes (3 weeks)

Monday 10th March 2025 -Saturday 22nd March 2025 – First Semester Exams for 200L-500Level (2 weeks)

Monday 24th March 2025 -Saturday 5th April 2025 – First Semester Break (2 weeks)

Monday 7th April 2025- Saturday 20th September 2025 – SIWES for all Schools with the exception of SAAT &SSTE students (24 weeks)

Monday 5th May 2025 – School Boards to Consider First Semester Results

Wednesday 28th May 2025 – Senate to consider First Semester Results

SECOND SEMESTER, 2024/2025 – MONDAY 7TH APRIL 2025 – SATURDAY 26TH JULY 2025 (16 WEEKS)

Monday 7th April 2025 – Saturday 31 May 2025 – Lectures for All Students (8 weeks)

Monday 2nd June 2025-Saturday 21st June 2025 -e-Test for 100 Level and large classes (3 weeks)

Monday 23rd June 2025-Saturday 5th July 2025 – Lectures Continue for all Levels (2 weeks)

Monday 7th July 2025-Saturday 26th July 2025 -e-Exams for 100 Level and Large Classes (3 weeks)

Monday 14th July 2025-Saturday 26th July 2025 – Second Semester Exams 200-500 Level (2 weeks)

Monday 28th July 2025-Saturday 27th September 2025 – Second Semester Break (9 weeks)

NEW SESSION 2025/2026 Monday 29th September 2025

Every Saturday has been declared for staff fitness exercise as from 6.30am-8:00am. (All staff are advised to turn up for the exercise). Every Wednesday of the week, Lectures to end by 2:00pm for Sporting activities for all students.
