UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT (UNIPORT) ANNOUNCES 34TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY


 

13,816 students will graduate from the University of Port Harcourt during its 34th Convocation, which is scheduled for this Saturday.
The institution is currently ranked first in Nigeria and 19th in Africa, which the management is happy with.
Prof. Owunari Georgewill, vice chancellor of UNIPORT, made this announcement on Friday during the media briefing for the 34th Convocation of the university in Port Harcourt.
Georgewill pointed out that numerous university programmes had received worldwide certification, and he said that additional money would guarantee that other programmes also receive this recognition.
The ninth vice chancellor of the university announced that 13,816 students would graduate at the 34th convocation, with 8,146 of those graduates holding first degrees.
“We are delighted to announce that we are set to graduate a total of 13, 816 graduands, out of which 8,146 are for the award of First Degree certificates,” he said, as he got ready to celebrate his 34th Convocation Ceremony.
“Postgraduate diplomas total 3,665; master’s degrees total 1,528; and doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees total 477, in that order.”
