MAU DIRECTS FRESHERS TO COMPLETE MANDATORY DATA CAPTURE FOR NELFUND LOAN PROCESSING
Modibbo Adama University, Yola, has issued an internal memo instructing all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session to complete an institutional data capture form as part of the requirements for accessing the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
The memo, signed by the Acting Director of ICT, Dr Munzali A. Abana, on December 1, 2025, explained that the data capture is a compulsory step that enables the university to upload students’ records to the official NELFUND portal.
According to the directive, students are expected to scan the QR code provided or use the official link to access the form and accurately fill in all required details. The university clarified that this process is not the actual loan application but only authorises MAU to forward students’ biodata and admission information to NELFUND.
The memo further stated that once the upload is completed, students can log into the NELFUND portal at www.nelf.gov.ng to submit their final loan application.
Freshers were advised to complete the process promptly to avoid delays. The ICT Directorate also encouraged students experiencing difficulties to visit the NELFUND Desk Office or send enquiries to nelfund@mau.edu.ng.
