UNIVERSITY OF UYO (UNIUYO) ANNOUNCES FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATES MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The University of Uyo has fixed Friday, November 28, 2025, for the matriculation of newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The ceremony will hold by 10.00am at the University Convocation Arena, Main Campus, Nwaniba Road, Uyo.
According to an internal memorandum issued by the Ag. Director of Academic Affairs to all Faculty Officers, faculties are expected to commence full preparations ahead of the event.
The memo directed that Matriculation Registers be prepared and that lists of registered students be displayed at the various faculties to allow freshmen verify their details before the ceremony. Faculties are also to collect matriculation gowns from the Stores for issuing to students.
All matriculating students are required to present evidence of payment of the approved matriculation gown fee of N10,000. Payment is to be made online through the University portal by selecting eBursary and choosing the “Matriculation Gown” option under Student Category.
The university further instructed faculties to give wide publicity to the date, time, and venue of the ceremony. Matriculation pledges are to be produced, signed by students, and submitted at the same time the registers are being signed.
Students have been warned that failure to sign the Matriculation Register at their Faculty Office immediately after the ceremony will lead to invalidation of their admission.
Faculty Officers are expected to return duly signed Matriculation Registers to the Admissions Office on or before Friday, December 5, 2025.
