LASU STUDENTS ADVISORY ON NELFUND TUITION FEE REFUND AND COURSE REGISTRATION PORTAL UPDATES
Lagos State University (LASU) students who have already paid their tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic session but later applied for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) have raised concerns about how refunds will be processed and when the loan payment will reflect on the university full-time undergraduate course registration portal.
According to information gathered by Segio Campus Reports, the LASU course registration portal has not yet reflected NELFUND payments. Technically, this is because most students, including newly admitted full-time students, are still applying for NELFUND, so the ICT unit has not yet updated the portal; the payments are likely to reflect on students’ course registration portal once the NELFUND application window for LASU students closes on November 28, 2025, following an official announcement by the university on October 23 2025.
As outlined in the 2025/2026 academic calendar for full-time undergraduate students, Monday, 6th October – Friday, 19th December 2025 covers the Weeks 4 – 14 which is scheduled for Resumption and registration of returning students, therefore, payments from NELFUND are expected to be reflected on the course registration portal before the end of the registration period.
Students are advised to exercise patience while awaiting updates. Those who require further clarification can raise a ticket via the NELFUND portal or visit the Directorate of Special Interventions Office, 3rd Floor, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, LASU Main Campus, Ojo.
While waiting for official confirmation and portal updates, affected students who have already paid their tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic session but later applied for the NELFUND are encouraged to prepare:

Proof of tuition fee payment receipt.

NELFUND loan approval slip showing beneficiary status for the 2025/2026 session.

A refund application letter addressed to The Bursar, LASU, Ojo, containing full name, matriculation number, faculty and department, level and session, bank name and account number (must match the student’s name), and proof of tuition payment.
