KOGI POLY RECTOR UNCOVERS FAKE RESULTS SYNDICATE, SUSPENDS DEPUTY REGISTRAR AND FOUR OTHERS

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Usman Ogbo, has uncovered a fake results syndicate operating within the institution, leading to the suspension of five staff members, including a former Deputy Registrar, Mr. Dominic Egwuda, who is reportedly on the run.

Addressing journalists in Lokoja on Wednesday evening, Professor Ogbo described the discovery as a serious breach of trust and a threat to the Polytechnic’s integrity and reputation. He explained that the group was involved in manipulating and producing fake academic results for financial gain, thereby undermining the credibility of the institution.

The Rector noted that the management has reported the case to relevant security agencies for further investigation and prosecution of all those involved.

He reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s zero tolerance for corruption and academic fraud, assuring that strict measures have been put in place to prevent a recurrence.

Professor Ogbo also called on students, parents, and the public to remain confident in the institution’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and academic excellence.
