KWARA STATE UNIVERSITY (KWASU) ANNOUNCES COMMENCEMENT OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES AT ILESHA-BARUBA CAMPUS
The Management of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has announced the official commencement of academic activities at its Ilesha-Baruba Campus for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to an internal memo signed by the Registrar, the new campus will host the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, marking another milestone in the institution’s commitment to a multi-campus system as stipulated by the law establishing the university.
The statement noted that the Ilesha-Baruba Campus is now fully ready to accommodate staff and students from the Departments of Crop Production, Animal Production, and Fisheries and Aquaculture. Lectures are scheduled to begin on Monday, November 3, 2025.
KWASU, which began operations in 2009 at its main campus in Malete, expanded to its Osi Campus in the 2024/2025 academic session, where the Faculty of Environmental Sciences was inaugurated. The addition of the Ilesha-Baruba Campus further strengthens the university’s vision of entrepreneurship-driven education and community development.
The University Management appealed to staff, students, and other stakeholders to support the smooth takeoff of academic activities at the new campus, assuring that all necessary arrangements are in place for a seamless transition.
