LASU SCHEDULES COUNSELLING AWARENESS WEEK FOR NEWLY ADMITTED FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS OF THE 2025/2026 SESSION

The Lagos State University (LASU) Counselling and Careers Unit has announced a five-day Counselling Awareness Programme exclusively for all newly admitted full-time undergraduate students of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The exercise, billed to run from Monday, 13th October to Friday, 17th October, 2025, will be held across different faculties within the university.

The detailed timetable is as follows:

• Monday, 13th October

  • Faculty of Arts — 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • Faculty of Law — 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Tuesday, 14th October

  • Faculty of Science — 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • School of Communication — 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Wednesday, 15th October

  • Faculty of Education — 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • School of Transport — 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Thursday, 16th October

  • Faculty of Social Sciences — 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • Faculty of Management Sciences — 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Friday, 17th October

  • School of Library and Archival Studies — 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The Counselling and Careers Unit has requested all faculties to ensure lecture-free periods at the scheduled times and provide suitable venues for the sessions.

The awareness programme is designed to guide freshers on academic adjustment, career choices, and personal development, thereby equipping them for success in their university journey.
