RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY (RSU) DEBUNKS FAKE RESUMPTION DATE INFO IN CIRCULATION
The management of Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has disowned a publication currently circulating on social media which claims that the University will resume for the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, October 6, 2025.
In an official statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Ibimonia B. S. Harry, the University described the information as false, misleading, and unauthorized.
The statement further emphasized that RSU remains committed to its approved Academic Calendar and that only the University’s official communication channels will be used to announce dates for resumption, vacation, and other academic activities.
“The University dissociates itself entirely from the false publication and urges all concerned to disregard it,” the Registrar stated.
RSU therefore advised students, staff, and the general public to rely strictly on official announcements from the University to avoid being misled.
