LASU ISSUES DISCLAIMER ON VIRAL NYSC TRANSPORT POSTER
The Students’ Affairs Division of Lagos State University (LASU) has distanced itself from a viral digital poster circulating on social media platforms, which claims that the Division, in collaboration with some individuals, had concluded arrangements to transport Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to NYSC Orientation Camps nationwide.
According to the misleading notice, the purported take-off was scheduled for 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 24th September, 2025, at LASU Ojo Campus.
In a disclaimer signed by Dr. Abiodun Fatai-Abatan, Acting Dean of Students’ Affairs, LASU stated clearly that it did not authorize or endorse such arrangements. The University emphasized that transportation to Orientation Camps is a private matter, and it is not in any way involved in the process.
The Division further assured that measures are being taken to identify and apprehend the culprits behind the false claims. Meanwhile, Prospective Corps Members have been advised to be security-conscious, wary of impostors, and make independent transportation plans.
“While the Students’ Affairs Division will take appropriate action to ensure the culprits are apprehended for impersonation, Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) are hereby advised to be wary of impostors and be security conscious during their journey to serve their fatherland,” the statement reads in part.
LASU also wished all its PCMs a safe trip to their respective NYSC Orientation Camps.
