UNIMAID MANAGEMENT APPROVES 2025 CULTURAL/SOCIAL WEEK, BANS SIGN-OUT CEREMONIES

Segio Campus Reports can confirm that the management of the University of Maiduguri has approved the conduct of the 2025 Cultural/Social Week, scheduled to hold from Saturday, September 13 to Sunday, September 21, 2025, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm daily.

According to a statement signed by Dr. Mohammed Yahaya, Acting Dean of Students, the Cultural/Social Week aims to foster unity, promote cultural appreciation among the diverse student community, and provide students with a refreshing break from academic stress. Management has, however, noted that regular academic activities will continue as usual during the period.

In a related development, the university has banned all types of sign-out ceremonies or activities associated with graduation. The management emphasized that any student found defaulting will face disciplinary action in line with the institution’s regulations.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate actively in the approved activities for the Cultural/Social Week while strictly adhering to the university’s rules and code of conduct.
