
SHEHU SHAGARI UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION (SSUES) SOKOTO ISSUES IMPORTANT NOTICE TO UTME/DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto (SSUES) has directed all candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session to upload their SSCE (O’Level) results on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.
According to a special bulletin signed by the Admissions Officer, Farida Muhammad, the directive applies to all candidates who chose SSUES as their first choice and scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 UTME, as well as Direct Entry applicants.
The statement noted that the upload must be done at any JAMB-accredited CBT centre, and only candidates with at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings, will be processed for admission.
It further stated that candidates who did not initially select SSUES as their first choice but are now interested can effect a change by visiting any JAMB CBT centre to obtain a Green Card and update their choice of institution.
On the approved cut-off marks, the university pegged the general cut-off at 150 for all programmes, except B.Sc. Ed. Computer Science, which requires a minimum of 160.
The university listed available programmes across its five faculties:

Education (Educational Management, Guidance and Counselling, Health Education, Social Studies, etc.),

Arts and Arts Education (English, French, Fulfulde),

Science and Science Education (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.),

Social Science (Geography, Political Science, Economics), and

Vocational Education (Business Education, Technical Education, Agricultural Science, Entrepreneurship, among others).
The bulletin emphasized that only candidates who upload their O’Level results will be considered for admission processing.
