FG CELEBRATES 17-YEAR-OLD NAFISA AMINU FOR EMERGING WORLDS BEST IN ENGLISH

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Ministry of Education, has officially commended Miss Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, a 17-year-old student from Yobe State, for her outstanding achievement as the World’s Best in English Language Skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London, United Kingdom.

In a press release signed by Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press and Public Relations, the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, and the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suiwaba Sa’id Ahmed, hailed Nafisa’s brilliance, discipline, and determination, describing her feat as a proud moment for the nation.

Representing Nigeria through Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Nafisa beat over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including students from English-native nations — a triumph the government links to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Education.

The Federal Ministry of Education also:

  • Appreciated Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for strategic investment in education,
  • Acknowledged Yobe State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Abba Idris, for his contribution,
  • And praised NTIC staff, Nafisa’s parents, and teachers for their roles in nurturing her talent.

The FG reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality education, urging students nationwide to take inspiration from Nafisa’s global success.

“Her story is not just a personal victory — it is a national inspiration,” the statement read.
