The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), has commenced its admission process for the 2024/2025 academic session. This was disclosed in an official statement released by the Registrar of the University, Mr. Michael Okoko Ogiji, FIPMD, FCAI.
According to the statement, the University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes through both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) routes. The application portal will remain open for four weeks from the date of this publication and interested applicants are required to apply through the official University website: www.fuhso.edu.ng.
Eligibility Criteria
The report highlights that only candidates who made FUHSO their first choice on the JAMB portal are eligible to apply. However, candidates who wish to switch to FUHSO can do so by effecting the change of institution on the JAMB portal and selecting the University as their first choice.
Applicants must meet the necessary UTME subject combinations and possess relevant O’Level results. Importantly, it was emphasized that all candidates must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), as candidates whose results are not uploaded will not be considered for admission.
Admission Requirements
For UTME candidates, a minimum score of 160 is required, along with five credit-level passes in relevant O’Level subjects including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
For Direct Entry candidates, the University accepts a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in relevant science courses, or A Levels/IJMB with at least 14 points in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
