Speaking during the distribution of National Service certificates to corps members who completed the one-year mandatory service, Yakubu cautioned the females against going to their boyfriends’ houses instead of their parents’.

Yakubu also encouraged corps members to utilize the skills they acquired during their service, particularly through the NYSC’s Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme. She advised them to invest their last allowance wisely and consider learning a trade.

Furthermore, Yakubu warned corps members against engaging in fraudulent activities, emphasizing that such behavior contradicts the values instilled in them by the NYSC. She urged them to be responsible members of society, representing their families, institutions, and the NYSC well.

A total of 1,652 corps members passed out in Bauchi State, comprising 1,118 males and 534 females.
