UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN (UNILORIN) ISSUES DISCLAIMER ON RECRUITMENT SCAM


The University of Ilorin has issued a warning to the public about an ongoing recruitment scam. According to the university’s management, some unscrupulous individuals have been extorting money from unsuspecting members of the public with promises of securing appointments at the university.

In a statement released by the registrar, M.A. Alfanla, the university emphasized that it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercises. The statement also highlighted the university’s established procedures for recruitment, which include advertisement, interview, and award of appointment.

The university categorically stated that it does not conduct appointments through third parties and has not appointed any agents to conduct recruitment on its behalf. The public has been advised to be vigilant and report any suspicious recruitment activities to the authorities.

The university assured that vacant positions will be advertised at the appropriate time, in accordance with extant laws and government guidelines.
