BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES SCHOOL RESUMPTION JANUARY 4, 2026
Bauchi State Government has approved the reopening of all Basic and Junior Secondary Schools, as well as tertiary institutions, starting Sunday, January 4, 2026. The decision came after consultations with school principals, private school owners, and education stakeholders, following positive security reports.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed gave the green light after the earlier statewide closure due to security issues. Exams paused by the shutdown will happen in the first week back, then regular classes resume.
The three Federal Unity Colleges in the state also get immediate approval to reopen, matching federal directives. Parents must send kids back on time, with extra security now in place for everyone on campus.
The closure started from national school threats, but things have calmed down. The Ministry of Education statement, signed by Jalal(deen Usman for the Commissioner, stresses safety first.
