AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY (ABU) ANNOUNCES NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS SCREENING SCHEDULE FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has released the schedule for the screening and verification exercise for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the Special Bulletin (Volume 17 No. 97) issued on Friday, November 28, 2025, the first phase of the screening will hold from 1st December to 15th December 2025, while the second phase is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2026.
In the notice signed by the Ag. Director, Academic Affairs, on behalf of the Registrar, all admitted students are required to upload the following documents on the University Post-UTME portal:

JAMB results (UTME candidates)
-
JAMB Admission Letter
-
NIN Slip
-
Indigene Certificate
-
Birth Certificate
-
O’level certificate(s) or statement of results
-
A’level certificate(s) or statement of results (for Direct Entry candidates)
-
Attestation Letter or Affidavit (if applicable)
Students must also present O’level scratch card pins for result verification. Direct Entry candidates are required to present original A’level certificates or a Certified True Copy where the original is not yet available.
After completing the screening, students will be granted access to the University portal to generate REMITA for payment of school charges, print their ABU admission letter, and reserve a bed space.
The University warned that selling, buying, or transferring bed spaces is strictly prohibited and attracts penalties.
