KWASU ANNOUNCES 13TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY

The Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Prof Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, on behalf of the Council, Senate and Congregation, has released the official programme of events for the institution’s 13th Convocation Ceremony scheduled to hold from Tuesday 9 December to Saturday 13 December, 2025.

According to the schedule obtained by our correspondent, activities will run for five days across the Malete campus and Ilorin, featuring academic engagements, sports, awards and the main convocation.

DAY 1 – Tuesday, 9 December 2025
Venue: KWASU Campus, Malete
– Vice Chancellor’s Press Briefing at the Council Chamber/Main Library by 11:00 a.m.
– Opening of Exhibition by KWASU units and partners immediately after the briefing at the Muhammadu Buhari Main Library.

DAY 2 – Wednesday, 10 December 2025
– Library Programme at 11:00 a.m.
– Football Match between Academic Staff and Non-Teaching Staff at the University Stadium Complex by 3:00 p.m.

DAY 3 – Thursday, 11 December 2025
– Convocation Lecture at the KWASU Convocation Arena by 10:00 a.m.
– Convocation Play by the Department of Performing Arts and Film Studies at the Abdulrasheed Na’Allah Performing Arts Building by 2:00 p.m.

DAY 4 – Friday, 12 December 2025
– Convocation Luncheon and Award of Prizes (including Researcher: Staff of the Year) at KWASU International Conference Centre, Ilorin, by 3:00 p.m.

DAY 5 – Saturday, 13 December 2025
– Convocation Ceremony for the Award of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees and Prizes at the Abdulrasheed Na’Allah Performing Arts Building, KWASU Campus, by 10:00 a.m.

The institution advised graduands, parents and invited guests to take note of the dates, venues and times ahead of the ceremony.
