AMINU SALEH COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCES IMMEDIATE TEMPORARY SHUTDOWN OVER STATEWIDE SECURITY CONCERNS

Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, has been shut down with immediate effect following a directive from the Bauchi State Government ordering the temporary closure of all schools across the state due to security concerns.

The directive, which affects primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions, including federal and privately owned schools, was communicated to staff and students through an internal notice issued by the Registrar, Abdullahi Babbaji.

According to the notice, the college will remain closed until further instructions are received from the government. The Provost emphasized full compliance with the state directive and urged members of the college community to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to security personnel.

However, essential service workers such as security officers, gardeners, borehole operators, animal herders, and clinic staff are exempted from the closure and are expected to continue reporting to their duty posts.

The resumption date will be announced once the government issues new directives.
