THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC BAUCHI (FPTB) SUSPENDS ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES OVER STATEWIDE SECURITY CONCERNS
The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi has announced an immediate suspension of all academic activities following a directive from the Bauchi State Government ordering the closure of all primary, secondary and tertiary institutions across the state due to rising security concerns.
The notice, issued through an internal memo dated 24 November 2025 and signed by Safiyo Yila on behalf of the Registrar, conveyed that the institution is complying fully with the state government’s instruction.
According to the memo, all academic engagements are to stop with immediate effect, and a new resumption date will be communicated once the security situation improves.
Heads of Departments have been directed to ensure strict adherence to the directive pending further updates from management.
The Polytechnic assured staff and students that additional information will be made available in due course.
