UNIZIK APPOINTS PROF. UGOCHUKWU BOND ANYAEHIE AS SUBSTANTIVE VICE-CHANCELLOR
The Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has approved the appointment of Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
The appointment, conveyed through a letter signed by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Barr. Monsuru Olugbenga Kukoyi on 16 November 2025, follows a successful interactive session with the joint Council and Senate Selection Board held on 15 November in Abuja.
Professor Anyaehie, a seasoned academic and professor of Physiology and Clinical Measurements, assumes office for a single five-year term with immediate effect. He takes over from Professor (Dame) Carol Chinyelugo Arinze-Umobi, who had been serving in acting capacity.
