AKINDUNBI ADURAGBEMI ISAAC SETS FUTA ALL-TIME RECORD WITH 4.98 CGPA
Akindunbi Aduragbemi Isaac has emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student of FUTA’s 36th Convocation, finishing with a historic CGPA of 4.98 out of 5.0 — the highest ever recorded in the university.

The Civil Engineering graduate also topped SIMME and his department, sweeping all major academic honours.
In his valedictory address titled “The world doesn’t reward those who wait; it rewards those who act,” Akindunbi thanked God for sustaining the Class of 2024 through a journey marked by pressure, late nights, and resilience. He described their years in FUTA as a period of growth, friendship, and determination.
He urged graduates to take initiative, embrace opportunities, uphold FUTA’s values, and step into the future with purpose. He also appreciated his parents, siblings, lecturers, supervisor Dr S. L. Akingbonmire, and the entire FUTA community for their support.
Akindunbi’s academic record remains exceptional, with near-perfect results across all semesters:
