UNILORIN TO DEPLOY OVER 100 ELECTRIC VEHICLES AS VC COMMENDS STUDENTS ON PARK RELOCATION
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, has commended students for their resilience, maturity, and orderly conduct during the ongoing relocation of the University Park.
In a message to the student body dated November 13, 2025, Prof. Egbewole acknowledged the spirit of volunteering demonstrated by several students and reassured them that the relocation measures are intended to ensure safety, security, and long-term benefits, rather than to inconvenience the students.
The Vice-Chancellor further stated that the university is making arrangements for the delivery of buses within days and at least 100 electric vehicles to assist students, emphasizing that the administration is working tirelessly to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
While recognizing the extra strain caused by the temporary arrangements, Prof. Egbewole urged students to remain patient, noting, “after every hardship, there is ease.”
Segio Campus Reports will continue to monitor developments on the relocation and provide timely updates to the university community.
