FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OTUOKE (FUOTUOKE) RELEASES APPROVED FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE 2025/2026 SESSION
The Federal University Otuoke (FUO) has officially released its new academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session, outlining a comprehensive schedule for both first and second semesters.
The announcement, signed by the Registrar, Andabi Amangi-Edomo, provides students and staff with a clear roadmap for the upcoming academic year, which is set to commence in October 2025.
The First Semester is scheduled to begin with the arrival of students on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Registration for all students will commence two days later, on Monday, October 13, 2025. Lectures for returning students will begin on Monday, October 20, 2025, while fresh students will start their academic activities a week later, on Monday, October 27, 2025. A key event for new students, the University Orientation, is slated for Wednesday, November 12, 2025, with faculties and departments expected to set their specific dates. Financial deadlines are also clearly marked, with the end of school fee payment for fresh students set for Friday, November 21, 2025, and for returning students on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The semester will feature two major institutional ceremonies: Matriculation on Saturday, November 29, 2025, and Convocation from Monday, December 8, to Friday, December 12, 2025. The session will observe a Christmas Break from Friday, December 19, 2025, to Saturday, January 3, 2026. Lectures will conclude on Friday, January 30, 2026, followed by a revision period starting Monday, February 2, 2026. The First Semester Examination will commence on Monday, February 9, 2026, and is expected to be concluded on Friday, March 6, 2026.
Following the conclusion of the first semester, the Second Semester will officially begin with the arrival of students on Saturday, April 4, 2026, and the commencement of lectures on Monday, April 6, 2026. A significant administrative date is the Special Senate meeting for the consideration of First Semester Results, scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 2026. The calendar also includes a dedicated Student’s Week, running from Monday, June 29, to Friday, July 3, 2026. Lectures for the second semester will end on Friday, July 10, 2026, leading into a revision week from Monday, July 13, to Friday, July 17, 2026. The Second Semester Examination will begin on Monday, July 20, 2026, and the entire academic session will draw to a close with the conclusion of examinations on Friday, August 7, 2026. The final Special Senate meeting for the consideration of Second Semester Results is slated for Thursday, September 17, 2026.
