JAMB GRANTS ADMISSION CLEARANCE TO 85 QUALIFIED UNDERAGE
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of 85 underage candidates who successfully completed its special screening process for exceptional admission after initial disqualification.
In a statement signed by the Board’s Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB disclosed that the decision followed a thorough evaluation of 182 shortlisted candidates from a total of 2,022,946 applicants who sought consideration under this special category. Out of these, only 85 met all required criteria and were cleared to proceed with admission and print their JAMB admission letters.
The Board emphasized that the policy of exceptional admission aligns with global best practices, describing such cases as rare exceptions rather than the norm. It further directed any of the 182 finalists who missed the final screening date to submit an appeal through the JAMB Support Ticketing System for individual review.
JAMB also warned that candidates who scored 320 and above but failed to upload their O’Level results stand permanently disqualified unless they comply within two days—by Wednesday, 8th October, 2025.
The statement reaffirmed JAMB’s commitment to a credible, transparent, and inclusive admission process that upholds the integrity of Nigeria’s tertiary education system.
