NELFUND URGES TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS TO UPDATE STUDENT RECORDS AHEAD OF 2025/2026 LOAN PORTAL OPENING
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has called on all accredited tertiary institutions nationwide to update and upload student records ahead of the opening of its 2025/2026 Student Verification Portal.
The Fund emphasized that this exercise is essential to ensure a smooth verification and loan application process for students. Institutions are required to accurately submit details for both returning and newly admitted students, using admission numbers or other unique identifiers.
NELFUND noted that only students whose records are verified by their institutions will be eligible to apply for and benefit from the education loan scheme. The Fund urged institutions to designate responsible officers to oversee the upload process in accordance with provided technical guidelines.
