Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has approved the establishment of the Mai Mala Buni College of Integrated Science (MMB-CIS) in Damaturu.
According to the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Prof. Adam Idriss, the governor has also approved the allocation of 100 hectares of land near the Bukar Abba Ibrahim Housing Estate along Potiskum Road for the construction of the new institution.
Designed as a state-of-the-art and integrated facility, the college is set to stand as a legacy project of the Buni administration.
The MMB College of Integrated Science is envisioned to pioneer a unique educational model that harmonizes modern conventional education with Islamic values. Its curriculum will be patterned after systems in Malaysia and Indonesia, where Islamic and secular education are blended into a single learning framework.
The initiative, according to the government, aims to produce graduates who are not only grounded in religious practices but also equipped with the necessary secular knowledge and skills to thrive in contemporary society.
