FUHSO SENATE APPROVES FREE TUITION FOR MATHEMATICS STUDENTS
The Senate of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), has approved free tuition for students applying to study Mathematics during the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions.
The decision, reached at the Senate’s meeting held on September 30, 2025, is part of efforts to encourage more students to pursue Mathematics, which is regarded as a core discipline for science, technology, and innovation.
Speaking on behalf of the Senate, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the initiative reflects FUHSO’s vision of promoting access, excellence, and affordability in higher education. He called on qualified candidates to take advantage of the offer and enroll in the B.Sc. Mathematics programme.
According to the University, the move is also designed to strengthen national capacity in critical areas of development and provide opportunities for students who may otherwise be discouraged by financial constraints.
