LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY (LASU) RELEASES APPROVED FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE 2025/2026 SESSION

The Lagos State University (LASU) has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session, following executive approval granted by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on behalf of the University Senate.

According to the calendar, registration for new students will run from Monday, 15th September to Friday, 3rd October 2025. Returning students are expected to resume alongside freshers for lectures and registration from Monday, 6th October to Friday, 19th December 2025, which will mark the end of the first phase of the semester before the two-week end-of-year break

FIRST SEMESTER (24 weeks for new students, 21 weeks for returning students)

• Weeks 1 – 3: Monday, 15th September – Friday, 3rd October 2025
  Registration for new students.
• Weeks 4 – 14: Monday, 6th October – Friday, 19th December 2025
  Resumption and registration for returning students; lectures for both new and returning students.
• Weeks 15 – 16: Monday, 22nd December 2025 – Friday, 2nd January 2026
  End-of-year break.
• Week 17: Monday, 5th January – Friday, 9th January 2026
  Revision and late registration (₦5,000 penalty).
• Weeks 18 – 21: Monday, 12th January – Friday, 6th February 2026
  Examinations.
• Weeks 22 – 23: Monday, 9th February – Friday, 20th February 2026
  Grading and uploading of results.
• Week 24: Monday, 23rd February – Friday, 27th February 2026
  Departmental/Faculty consideration, corrections, ICT processing, and Senate meeting for approval of results.

SECOND SEMESTER (20 weeks for both new and returning students)

• Weeks 1 – 12: Monday, 2nd March – Friday, 22nd May 2026
  Resumption, registration, and lectures.
• Weeks 13 – 16: Monday, 25th May – Friday, 5th June 2026
  Examinations.
• Weeks 17 – 18: Monday, 8th June – Friday, 19th June 2026
  Grading and uploading of results.
• Week 19: Monday, 22nd June – Friday, 26th June 2026
  Departmental/Faculty consideration, corrections, and ICT processing.
• Week 20: Monday, 29th June – Friday, 3rd July 2026
  Collation of results and Senate meeting for approval of results.
• Monday, 6th July 2026
  End-of-session break begins.

SESSIONAL BREAK

Monday, 6th July – Friday, 2nd October 2026 (3 months).

NEW SESSION (2026/2027)

1. Commences on Monday, 6th October 2026.
