LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION (LASUED) ANNOUNCES MOP-UP INDIGENESHIP VERIFICATION EXERCISE FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Oto/Ijanikin, with a campus at Odo-Noforija, Epe, has announced a five-day Mop-Up Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise for qualified candidates of Lagos State origin who were unable to take part in the earlier scheduled session.
According to the University Management, the exercise will run from Monday, September 1, 2025, to Friday, September 5, 2025, and will hold at the ETF Hall of the University.
The exercise is open to candidates who:
Chose LASUED as their First Choice institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Scored 170 and above in the UTME.
Are indigenes of Lagos State but missed the initial verification exercise.
Daily Schedule
Day 1: Monday, September 1, 2025
Day 2: Tuesday, September 2, 2025
Day 3: Wednesday, September 3, 2025
Day 4: Thursday, September 4, 2025
Day 5: Friday, September 5, 2025
Required Documents
Candidates are expected to present both originals and photocopies of the following:
1. Indigeneship Form
2. Payment Receipt
3. Candidate’s Birth Certificate
4. Father’s Birth Certificate
5. Letter from Oba (strictly required)
6. Letter from Local Government Chairman
7. Landed Property Documents
The University further emphasized that the verification does not automatically guarantee admission, but it is a mandatory prerequisite before consideration for admission into LASUED.

The Management also cautioned applicants against making payments to unauthorized individuals or accounts, stressing that such transactions are at the candidate’s own risk.
Direct Entry applicants of Lagos State origin are also expected to participate in this exercise before being considered for admission.
