LASU COMMENCES REVIEW OF 2025/2026 UTME/DIRECT ENTRY ONLINE ADMISSION FORMS SUBMISSION

The Lagos State University (LASU) has commenced the review of online admission forms submitted for the 2025/2026 UTME/Direct Entry screening exercise.

This development follows the latest updates observed on some candidates’ portals, where certain applicants reported seeing error notifications. In particular, a pop-up message appeared on a number of dashboards with the text: “DISQUALIFIED – DISCREPANCY IN STATE OF ORIGIN.”

Findings by Segio Campus Reports, the Official News and Information Division of Segio Online Services, revealed that the issue largely affects candidates of Lagos State origin who failed to undergo the mandatory Indegeneship Verification Exercise. Some of these candidates reportedly bypassed the process by selecting another state of origin on the admission screening portal. However, LASU downloads and verifies all applicants’ data directly from JAMB, making it possible to detect inconsistencies in candidates’ biodata.

It is important to note that the university management had earlier opened the Correction of Data Portal for several weeks to enable all eligible candidates correct any errors or inconsistencies in their submissions before the close of registration.

While this development confirms that LASU has officially commenced the review and processing of submitted forms, it does not mean that the university has begun offering admission to UTME or Direct Entry applicants for the 2025/2026 academic session. Admission lists are YET to be released, and applicants are advised to remain patient and await further updates.

The management of LASU is expected to release further updates as the process continues, and Segio Campus Reports will remain committed to delivering verified and reliable updates to students across Nigerian campuses.
