
FEDERAL UNIVERSITY DUTSE (FUD) ANNOUNCES VACANCY FOR THE POSITION OF VICE CHANCELLOR
The Governing Council of the Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa State, has announced the commencement of the search for a new Vice-Chancellor, as the tenure of the current officeholder will end on 10th February 2026.
In an official statement signed by the Registrar, Abubakar Mijinyawa, suitably qualified candidates — internal and external — are invited to apply in line with the provisions of the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act No. 11 of 1993 (as amended).
Eligibility requirements include:

Must be a Professor for at least five years with a Ph.D.

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in university teaching, research, and administration.

Proven ability to secure research grants and funding.

High moral character, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in ICT and effective communication skills.

Must not be more than 65 years old at the time of assumption of duty.
The position is for a single, non-renewable five-year term.
