FEDERAL GOVERNMENT GRANTS AL-ANSAR UNIVERSITY FULL OPERATIONAL LICENCE

Al-Ansar University, Maiduguri, has been granted a Full Operational Licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC), officially approved on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria. This milestone marks the successful conclusion of the institution’s three-year probationary period under a Provisional Licence.

The approval followed an NUC assessment visit from April 22 to 24, 2025, during which the University was evaluated on compliance with operational guidelines and academic standards. The institution met all requirements, earning the endorsement of the NUC Management Committee and the Federal Government.

This achievement is credited to the visionary leadership of the Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, whose dedication has been pivotal in building the University into a thriving academic community. It also reflects the commitment and professionalism of the Vice-Chancellor, management, and staff in upholding the institution’s mission of delivering quality education anchored on the values of “Thought and Service.”

With the full licence issued on August 14, 2025, Al-Ansar University is now positioned to broaden its academic programmes, strengthen research efforts, and contribute more significantly to national and continental development.
