FEDERAL UNIVERSITY GASHUA (FUGA) ANNOUNCES MAIDEN CONVOCATION CEREMONY
The Federal University Gashua (FUGA), Yobe State, is set to hold its Maiden Combined Convocation Ceremony for the conferment of First and Higher Degrees, award of prizes, and the presentation of honorary doctorate degrees to distinguished Nigerians.
The historic event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the life of the university since its establishment.
In the build-up to the main convocation, a Pre-Convocation Lecture will be delivered on Friday, July 11, 2025, by renowned ICT scholar and former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON, titled:
“Beyond the Horizon: Embracing the Unknown and Unlocking Your Full Potential.”
The lecture will be held at the University’s 1000-Capacity Lecture Hall.
The convocation will be held under the chairmanship of Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji, CFR, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at African Aviation and Aerospace University, Abuja, and a former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The university management has extended an open invitation to students, parents, alumni, dignitaries, and the general public to join in the celebrations and share in what it describes as a landmark achievement in its academic journey.
