LASU Urges Newly Admitted Students to Complete Medical Screening Exercise
The Directorate of Health Services, Lagos State University (LASU), has issued a reminder to all newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session to promptly participate in the ongoing medical screening exercise.
The screening, which commenced on the 3rd of March 2025, is being conducted at the Outpatient Section (Old Building) of the LASU Health Centre. Despite prior announcements and notifications, university authorities have expressed concern over the low turnout of students.
In a statement released by the Directorate, students yet to undergo the screening have been urged to do so without further delay. The exercise is a mandatory part of the admission process and a prerequisite for full student enrollment.
Students are expected to come along with the following:
1. Two (2) recent passport photographs;
2. A copy of the receipt of payment for medical screening; and
3. Writing materials.
The university has also emphasized that parents, members of staff not involved in the exercise, friends, and old students will not be allowed within the screening area to ensure orderliness and maintain medical confidentiality.
The medical screening exercise reflects LASU’s commitment to the well-being of its students, ensuring that all newly admitted individuals are medically cleared to continue with their academic activities without interruption. Students who are yet to be screened are advised to do so without further delay.
