BENUE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY (BSCHTA) LIFTS BAN ON STUDENT UNION AND RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

The management of the Benue State College of Health Technology, Agasha (BSCHTA) has officially lifted the ban on Student Union and religious activities on campus. This decision was reached during an emergency meeting held on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.

According to a circular signed by the Registrar, Samuel Patrick Ukaa, the lifting of the ban takes immediate effect. The circular clarified that only activities by the Students Union, departmental associations, and religious worship groups are permitted. Ethnic, tribal, and other non-approved associations remain banned.

To ensure strict compliance, the Dean of Students Affairs and the Chief Security Officer have been directed to monitor and enforce the new directive.

In line with this development, the college has designated Monday, 19th May to Friday, 23rd May, 2025 as “Student Week.” The period will allow students to prepare for and conduct elections into the Student Union (SU) and various departmental associations.

The week-long event will conclude with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, 25th May, 2025 at St. Michael’s Parish, Agasha. Details of the Student Week are expected to be announced by the Dean of Student Affairs.
