Lagos State University (LASU) has begun an important upgrade to its official website, aimed at improving the university’s online services and overall digital experience. The upgrade, which is being carried out by the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), involves a major migration of services to enhance the security, reliability, and performance of the website.
In a statement released to the university community, signed by Thomas-Onashile, Oluwayemisi A., Deputy Registrar/Coordinator, Centre for Information, Press and Relations (CIPR) LASU, LASU explained that during the upgrade, some online services might be temporarily unavailable, while others could experience limited access. The DICT has promised to work diligently to minimize disruptions, with the goal of restoring all services as quickly as possible. LASU also emphasized that all data and applications are secure, and there is no risk to the integrity of users’ information.
“The Directorate of Information and Communication Technology is working hard to ensure that the necessary upgrades are done with minimal disruption to your access,” the statement read.
LASU’s management apologized for any inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption and thanked the university community for their understanding and patience. They assured everyone that this upgrade would ultimately lead to a better, more efficient online experience.
Students, staff, and other stakeholders are encouraged to stay updated through official communication channels during the period of the upgrade.
