JAMB TO REVIEW 2025 UTME RESULTS COMPLAINTS ON MAY 15

In response to public concerns and growing discussions surrounding the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has constituted a review panel to examine the conduct of the examination. The decision follows a wave of reactions from candidates, parents, and education stakeholders questioning aspects of the examination’s administration.

To address these concerns and uphold public confidence, JAMB has scheduled the review exercise for Thursday, 15th May 2025. The panel has been tasked with evaluating the entire UTME process, identifying any challenges that may have occurred, and recommending solutions to improve future examinations.

The review panel comprises key figures from the Nigerian education sector. These include representatives of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Chief External Examiners, the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), the Educational Assessment and Research Network, Vice Chancellors of universities, Rectors of polytechnics, Provosts of colleges of education, and selected support staff from JAMB.

Also joining the panel is Mr. Alex Onyia, CEO of EDUCARE, who was officially invited to participate in the review as part of JAMB’s stakeholder engagement efforts. According to the Board, participation in the review panel is entirely voluntary and comes at no cost to JAMB.

This initiative reinforces JAMB’s stated commitment to transparency, fairness, and continuous improvement in the administration of its national examinations. The findings of the review are expected to guide future reforms and enhance the integrity of the UTME process.
