UTME 2025: Edo State Government Suspends Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise for April 2025

In a public notice issued by the Edo State Government, the monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025, has been officially cancelled. The decision comes as a result of the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which began on Thursday, April 24, 2025, across the country.

The cancellation was made to accommodate candidates sitting for the examination, ensuring there is no disruption to their preparations. However, the State Government has urged residents to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, despite the suspension of the exercise.

The monthly sanitation exercise will now resume on the last Saturday of May 2025, and will take place from 7:00 am to 10:00 am as previously planned.

Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., the Secretary to the State Government, emphasized that the government remains committed to creating a safer, healthier, and cleaner environment for all residents of Edo State.
