LASU MOURNS GRADUATE KILLED FOR RITUAL PURPOSES

The Lagos State University (LASU) community is in mourning following the tragic death of a recent graduate, Adedamola Quadri Ogunbode.

Adedamola, 28, a graduate of Political Science Education, was allegedly killed by a prophet in the Ojo area of Lagos State for ritualistic purposes.

According to reports, Adedamola had been missing since January 16, 2025. His mutilated body was later found buried in the compound of a popular church in the area.

The prophet of the church has been arrested and is currently assisting the police with their investigation.

The university management has condemned the senseless act of violence, describing it as a “terrible loss” to the entire university community.

“We strongly condemn this senseless act of violence. The brutality and criminality behind Adedamola’s death are unacceptable in any society,” the university said in a statement.

The university has called for swift and thorough action by the relevant security agencies to ensure that those responsible face justice.

The LASU community has been urged to remain calm while the authorities carry out their investigations. The university has also assured that the safety and security of its students remain its top priority.

The family of the deceased has been offered condolences by the university management, who prayed that they find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
