19-year-old Nigerian Lady emerges best graduating student of OOU with 4.87CGPA in Economics, celebrates achievement.
A 19-year-old Nigerian scholar, Aisha Dauda, has made history as the best graduating student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Nigeria, after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.87.
Celebrating her achievement, Aisha took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her inspiring academic journey and the numerous awards she received in recognition of her excellence.
Aisha shared that she wrote her first Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at the age of 14 and successfully gained admission into OOU at 15. Demonstrating unwavering dedication and brilliance, she maintained academic excellence throughout her university years and graduated with exceptional honors at just 19 years old.
Aisha’s remarkable performance earned her multiple prestigious awards, including the overall best graduating Student (BGS) of the 2023/2024 Academic Session and the best-graduating student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Department of Economics
In addition to breaking records in her department, Aisha also showcased her versatility and leadership skills beyond academics.
She emerged as the first runner-up in the Inter-Faculty Debate Competition (September 2023) and was a beneficiary of the Gbemiga Abiodun Education Program Scholarship (2023-2024).
