
FEDERAL UNIVERSITY DUTSE APPOINTS DR. NASIR UMAR AS NEW DEAN OF STUDENTS AFFAIRS
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, has approved the appointment of Dr. Nasir Umar Muhammad as the new Dean of Students Affairs Division.

According to a statement from the university’s Information and Public Relations Unit, Dr. Muhammad’s appointment is for a two-year tenure.
Dr. Muhammad, an Associate Professor of Literature, has a strong academic background, having obtained his BAEd in English from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Master of Arts in Literature in English from Bayero University, Kano, and PhD in Literature in English from the same institution.
He has several publications in local and international journals of literary studies and is a member of the editorial board of several journals of English and literary studies. Dr. Muhammad is also a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) and has attended several conferences both locally and internationally.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Muhammad has held several administrative responsibilities in the university, including Head of the Department of English and Linguistics, University Orator, and Deputy Director of Academic Services.
The university community has welcomed Dr. Muhammad’s appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to provide effective leadership and guidance to students.
