
Augustine University Appoints First Professors and Associate Professors
In a landmark development, Augustine University has announced the appointment of its first-ever Professors and Associate Professors, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic history.
The appointments were approved by the Governing Council at its meeting held on Wednesday, 20th November, 2024. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Odetunde, commended the appointees for their academic achievements and commitment to advancing scholarship at the university.
The newly appointed Professors are:
* Professor Kolapo Adelodun, Professor of Microbiology
* Professor Grace Evbuomwan, Professor of Economics
In addition, the University announced the promotion of two new Associate Professors:
* Dr. Philip Edema, Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies,
* Dr. Juliet Olughor, Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration.
The appointments are expected to further elevate the University’s reputation and enrich its academic programmes as it continues to build a robust faculty base to drive its mission of providing world-class holistic education.
