PROFESSOR BABAGANA GUTTI EMERGES NEW VC OF BORNO STATE UNIVERSITY (BOSU)

The Governing Council of Borno State University (BOSU), has approved the appointment of Professor BABAGANA GUTTI, as the new substantive Vice Chancellor of the University.

The appointment of Professor Gutti, was announced on Friday, in a press conference by the representative of the chairman of council, Professor Emeritus Abubakar Mustapha who adds that, Professor GUTTI’s appointment, has been approved by the Borno State Governor and Visitor to the University, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.

Professor Babagana Gutti, a Professor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Maiduguri, is expected to serve a single term of five years, effective, 18th October 2024.

As the Vice Chancellor Professor Emeritus Abubakar Mustapha said, Professor Gutti is the Chief Executive and Accounting Officer of the University and responsible for leading the University’s academic and administrative departments as well as ensuring the implementation of the University’s strategic plan and it’s mission and vision.

He congratulates the new Vice Chancellor on behalf of the Visitor and the Governing Council of the University and wishes him good luck and God’s guidance in the task ahead.
