UNIVERSITY OF ILESA (UNILESA) ANNOUNCES THAT FACULTY OF EDUCATION PROGRAMMES WILL BE TUITION-FREE FROM THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION 

The University of Ilesa, Osun State, has announced that all programmes under its Faculty of Education will be tuition fee-free from 100 level until graduation, starting from the 2024/2025 academic session.

Students enrolled in these education programmes will only be required to pay certain affordable incidental charges.

This decision was made by the university management in response to the alarming decline in the enrollment of candidates in the Faculty of Education and the urgent need to preserve the teaching profession from fading into obscurity.

According to a press statement released by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abimbola Tooki, the new policy aims to encourage more students to pursue careers in education.

The statement also noted that the decision aligns with the action plan of the Osun State Government, under the leadership of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to appoint more qualified teachers for the foundational levels of education.

The following education programmes are now tuition-free at the University of Ilesa:

B.A. Ed. English Language

B.Sc. Ed. Political Science

B.Sc. Ed. Economics

B.Ed. Social Studies

B.Ed. Guidance and Counselling

B.Ed. Adult and Continuing Education

B.Sc. Ed. Agricultural Science

B.Sc. Ed. Computer Science

B.A. Ed. Music

B.A. Ed. Business Education

B.Sc. Ed. Educational Management

B.Sc. Ed. Educational Technology

B.Sc. Ed. Health Education

B.Sc. Ed. Chemistry Education

B.Sc. Ed. Physics Education
