Candidates who are 16 years old would be considered for admissions into tertiary institutions for the 2024 academic year – JAMB
During the JAMB Policy Meeting held yesterday being the 18th day of July, 2024, JAMB has disclosed that at least for the 2024/2025 Academic Session, candidates who are not up to 18 year will be considered for admission into Tertiary Institutions.
This is following the decision of the Senate to implement 18 years as the general age benchmark for admission into Tertiary Institutions.
JAMB has also disclosed that there’s no such thing as ‘cut-off mark’ in the admission process to tertiary institutions in Nigeria, what’s obtainable is the minimum tolerable score determinable by individual institutions.
