Prof. Akenroye, a professor of Supply Chain Management, while speaking on the proposed partnership, said his university was happy with the visible progress that LASU has made in the last two years under the current administration. He said, “My job as Director of Global Exchange Programme is to harness new collaborations and strengthen existing ones. Prof. Enikuomehin had reached out to us over two years ago to propose a partnership, but my university was initially reluctant. However, we have been monitoring the progress of LASU in that period, and we are now satisfied that it has the capabilities that we want in a partner institution.”

He added that despite being a state university, LASU’s ranking has been impressive, a position that is also strengthened by the ICT-driven innovations taking place in the institution.

The VC, in her response, expressed happiness at the visit and promised to provide the needed support to make a mutually beneficial collaboration with the University of Missouri possible.

The robust engagement concluded with both parties resolving to explore opportunities in staff and students exchange programmes, knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and technology-driven enhancement in blood supply chain in Nigeria, amongst thers.

The Director, Directorate of Linkages, Partnerships and Collaborations, Prof. Kabir Akinyemi was also present at the meeting alongside other top functionaries of the administration.
